“Don’t confuse justice and mercy. Justice and mercy are not symmetric characteristics of God. By definition God always, every time, has to act justly. But equity is not a requirement of mercy. God doesn’t have to show mercy.” — Dave Gobbett

Text: Romans 9:1–21

Preached: May 31, 2015

Location: Highfields Church, Cardiff, Wales

Dave Gobbett is lead minister of Highfields Church in Cardiff, Wales. Prior to moving to Cardiff, Gobbett served as a pastoral assistant at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., and then as associate pastor at Eden Baptist Church in Cambridge. He is a trustee of Word Alive and a frequent speaker at Christian Union missions.

You can listen to his episode of TGC Word of the Week here.
